Foreign Fulbright Student Program - One of the most popular scholarships, Fulbright provides funding to overseas students wishing to study a Master's or PhD degree in the United States, as well as to young professionals and artists. Tuition, textbooks, flights, a living allowance, and health insurance are all covered!
Humphrey Fellowship Program - This program offers a non-degree scholarship for experienced professionals. Fellows to be awarded 10 months of fully funded academic study are chosen for their leadership potential and dedication to public service, whether in the public or private sector.
#YouAreWelcomeHere Scholarship – The scholarships offer at least 50% of published annual (out-of-state) tuition costs (excluding fees) at the participating college or university in the United States (of which there are 57). You should submit an essay or a video that demonstrates your enthusiasm for international study.
East-West Center Scholarships and Fellowships – Scholarships for foreign students from the Asia-Pacific region to study in the United States at designated schools. Tuition and fees, health insurance, book allowance, living stipend, and airfare are all covered!
Japan-United States Friendship Commission – This commission, which is jointly operated by Japan and the United States, offers funding programs for Japanese students.
AAUW International Fellowships - The program provides support for women pursuing full-time graduate or postdoctoral study in the United States.
Civil Society Leadership Awards: Disability Rights Scholarship Program - The Disability Rights Scholarship Program provides year-long awards for master’s degree study to disability rights advocates, lawyers, and educators with a view to develop new legislation, jurisprudence, policy, research, and scholarship to harness the innovations and opportunities offered by the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD).
Rotary Peace Fellowships – The program offers scholarships for people who have worked in the fields of peace and development. The fellows are dedicated to community and international service, as well as peacebuilding.
The Aga Khan Foundation – Each year, the foundation awards a limited number of postgraduate scholarships to deserving students from developing countries who have no other means of funding their education.
University graduate scholarships
Amherst College offers a need-based financial aid program to help financially disadvantaged overseas students. Your financial need is assessed once you have been accepted. After that, you will be awarded a financial aid award that is commensurate with your needs. Because it may contain both self-help (employment) and gift aid, the award is frequently referred to as an "aid package" (scholarships and grants).
Berea College is the only school in the United States that provides 100% funding to 100% of enrolled international students for the first year of enrollment. This combination of financial aid and scholarships covers the costs of tuition, room, boarding, and fees.
East Tennessee State University. For new foreign students seeking a graduate or undergraduate degree, East Tennessee State University (ETSU) provides the International Students Academic Merit Scholarship. Graduate students are eligible for a scholarship worth $11,500 each school year.
Harvard University Scholarships – Harvard provides a variety of scholarships for students from all around the world.
Illinois Wesleyan University Scholarships. In each first-year entering class, Illinois Wesleyan University may grant merit scholarships and need-based financial aid to overseas students. These awards range from $16,000 to $30,000 per year and are renewable for up to four years.
Michigan State University International Scholarships - At the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, Michigan University offers a limited number of scholarships and awards to meritorious overseas students.
New York University Wagner Scholarships - Each application cycle, a limited number of merit scholarships are awarded to accepted students, including foreign students. The scholarships range in value from $25,000 to $47,000 and cover partial or full tuition.
Oregon University Scholarships - At the University of Oregon, you’ll find several sources of financial aid for international students at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Each year the UO awards more than $2.5 million in financial aid and scholarships to international students.
University of Wisconsin Superior Non-resident Tuition Waiver Program – International students proving financial need at the University of Wisconsin are eligible for a tuition waiver.
